BH’s GDP per capita only 29% of the EU average

The BH Gross Domestic Product per capita, according to purchasing power standard, in 2012 amounted to 29 % of the EU average.

This percentage has not changed in comparison to 2010 and 2011, according to Eurostat.

Out of the countries in the region, Croatia has the highest GDP per capita in purchasing power standards, which is 62 % of the EU average, Montenegro is the runner-up with 41 %.

Serbia is at a level of 36 %, Macedonia 35 % and Albania 30 % of the EU average.

Among member states, Luxembourg has the highest GDP per capita in purchasing power standard, whilst Bulgaria has the lowest.

The level of GDP in Luxembourg is two and a half times higher than the EU average and is 263%, whilst the Bulgarian GDP is 47 % of the EU average.
