Considerable delays in the adoption of the budget for B&H institutions may lead to remittance delays beyond January, said the President of the International Monetary Fund B&H, Ruben Atoyan.

Atoyan pointed out that this delay will pose difficulties for the government of the Republika Srpska and the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, whose budgets were adopted in parliament, as they will have to delay some of their obligations until January or later.

The date when the Executive Board of the IMF will consider the fifth review under the Standby arrangement, has not yet been determined, said Atoyan, adding that on this occasion the IMF will also discuss the Government’s request for an extension and an increase of the current arrangements.
