The Academy of Sciences and Arts of Republika Srpska is celebrating 20 years of its existence with a formal session of the Academy’s Assembly, the promotion of monographs and an art exhibition.

The Academy of Sciences and Arts was founded in 1996 as the highest representative institution of science and art in Srpska with the task to develop and foster science and advance artistic activity. It has four departments – Department of Social Sciences, Department of Literature and Arts, Department of Natural, Mathematical and Technical Sciences and the Department of Medical Sciences and is based in Banja Luka.

The anniversary will be attended by the representatives of the social life of Srpska, the Spanish Royal Academy of Economics and Finance, Montenegrin Academy of Arts and Sciences, the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, Slovenian Academy of Arts and Sciences and the European Academy of Sciences and Arts.
