“Jumko” started with probation period, eighty women in training

The factory for the production of garments “Jumko” from Vranje started operating in Drvar and starting this production is of great importance for Drvar, said the Mayor of Drvar Dušica Runić.

Runić said that is a probation period for workers, who are also being trained to work in this facility.

“The training will last for three months, eighty women have signed contracts for the probation period. By the end of the month, it is expected that another twenty women will be hired to complete the production cycle”, Runić said.

She emphasized that training at the facility began upon the promise of Serbian President, Aleksandar Vučić during his visit to Drvar in September last year.

“This is a direct help to women in achieving at least minimal living conditions, and indirect help to the budget of the municipality of Drvar”, said the mayor.

Runić wished to the workers a successful completion of training and future signing of contracts with ”Jumko”.

She thanked the Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić and Serb Presidency Member Milorad Dodik, who took care of Drvar and its people,  adding that without Serbia and Srpska there is no life for Serbs in the Federation of B&H.

At this facility, the starting salaries are minimal because it is training, we were told.

“In addition to training, we decided to give the workers a minimum wage to start with. In addition, we provided transportation and a hot meal. Work is organized five days a week, eight hours a day”, said Slobodan Mitrović, director of personnel, legal and general affairs in this facility.
