Bosnia and Herzegovina’s pavilion, with Mladen Miljanovic’s exhibition “Garden of Enjoyment”, had a remarkable concept and contributed greatly to the pluralism of artistic expression at the 55th Venice Biennale, it was concluded at a meeting between the President of the Biennale, Paolo Baratta, and the Minister of Trade and Tourism of Republika Srpska, Maida Ibrisagic – Hrstic.
Hrstic and the Director of the Museum of Contemporary Art of Republika Srpska, Ljiljana Labovic Marinkovic, attended the closing ceremony of the Venice Biennale where, during the past six months, artist from 88 nations exhibited their finest works, whilst 161 artists from 38 countries were involved in the central exhibition “Encyclopedic Palace”.
The exhibitions commissioner, Sarita Vujkovic, confirmed that BH’s exhibition received great reviews from art experts. She added that the number of visits met the expectations of the artist, Miljanovic, and the Museum of Contemporary Art.
The Ministry of Civil Affairs BH, the Ministry of Education and Culture of Republika Srpska and the Ministry of Trade and Tourism of Republika Srpska showed their support for Republika Srpska’s stride on the world stage of contemporary art.
