The leaders of the major B&H political parties failed to reach agreement on a model for implementing the ruling of the Court of Human Rights in the Sejdic-Finci matter during a meeting with the EU Enlargement Commissioner, Stefan Fule.
Dervo Sejdic and Jakob Finci, appellants before the European Court of Human Rights, after the mentioned meeting said that they believe a resolution cannot be reached until the case is back where it belongs – on legal rather than political grounds.
After another round of failed negotiations, Fule on his personal Twitter profile wrote that he will gladly visit again in order to help B&H politicians reach a deal on an issue which is hindering the functioning of the entire country.
Talks should resume in the next few weeks.
