President of the Republic of Srpska Milorad Dodik received yesterday the golden volleyball players of Serbia in the Presidential Palace.
President Milorad Dodik said yesterday in Banja Luka that he donated 20,000 KM to Serbian volleyball players Tijana Bošković, Brankica Mihajlović and Jelena Blagojević, and presented gifts as they won a gold medal at the European Championship with the national team of Serbia.
“We will launch an initiative to incorporate into the law the right to grant athletes who win medals with Serbian reps the right to national sports pensions,” Dodik told reporters in Banjaluka after talking with volleyball players from Srpska Tijana Boskovic and Brankica Mihajlovic who won gold with the Serbian national team medal at the European Championship.
He assessed that it is an honor for the Republic of Srpska to have volleyball players playing for the national team of Serbia, which suggests that Srpska has the potential.
“Sport is something that marks a person’s life all the time, so I believe both our volleyball players and all other athletes,” added Dodik.
He pointed out that young people in Srpska have someone to see in sports and that it is important to deal with it.
“The victory of the volleyball paves the way for many future athletes and therefore they thank them. That is their national and state role,” Dodik said and wished many volleyball successes in the future.
Mihajlovic thanked the citizens of Srpska for the support they provided to Serbian volleyball.
“Thank you and the president of the Republic of Srpska at the reception and what has set aside time to meet with us.” Money prize means, but not the only reason we are dealing with sports, but the desire to get young people to know the sport, “Mihajlovic said.
Boskovic thanked the President of the Republic and the volunteer children in front of the republican board.
“I hope that we will have success in the coming period and once again thank you for your support,” Boskovic said.
President of the Volleyball Federation of Serbia Zoran Gajic thanked Dodik for the attention he gives to volleyball.
“We are very satisfied and satisfied with the support we have from Republika Srpska and Serbia, and this support contributes to the results of our volleyball players,” Gajic said.
President of the Volleyball Federation of Republika Srpska Milutin Popovic believes that the gold medal is the crowning result of Serbian volleyball.
