Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik said today at a meeting with a delegation of Russian Duma members that Russia has always provided support to Republika Srpska positions and had understanding for them, as well as that it supported the implementation of the Dayton Peace Agreement.
At a meeting in Banjaluka, Dodik said that Russia proved to be a very important factor in preserving the respect for international law, says a press release from the office of the Republika Srpska president.
Dodik informed the Russian Duma delegation of the current political and economic situation in Srpska and stressed that Republika Srpska is dedicated to peace and stability.
Dodik assessed the cooperation between Republika Srpska and the Russian Federation as extremely successful in all fields, particularly in the economy and culture, and expressed the desire for these relations to be further expanded and improved.
The meeting was also attended by the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to BiH, Petr Ivantsov.
