According to the estimates of the specialized magazine for foreign direct investment, FDI Magazine (Financial Times Group), the BEAR area – which includes the municipalities of Teslic, Tesanj and Zepce, is classified in the Top 10 Southern European investment locations for 2014/15. The results of the competition were announced in the two-month issue February-March 2014 of the FDI magazine, which has over 15.000 subscribers worldwide who are corporate and cross-border investment professionals and experts.
The technical evaluation group took into account the ratio of investments and costs, human resources, infrastructure, quality of life, friendly business environment, as well as promotional strategies to attract foreign direct investment, when picking out the cities and regions with the largest economic potential.
Representatives of the BEAR areas lodged an application for this competition last year and achieved significant results in two categories: Top 10 European regions in general – in terms of cost-effectiveness of investments and Top 10 Small European Regions – in terms of cost-effectiveness of investments.
This prestigious award, FDI European cities and regions of the future 2014/15, received applications from 468 cities and regions, within five categories: economic potential, work environment, cost, and infrastructure and business friendliness.
