State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) detain 15 people accused of financing, organizing and recruitment of Bosnians to go fighting in Syria and Iraq.
Fifteen people were detained Wednesday morning in Sarajevo accused of the “financing, organizing and recruitment of Bosnians to go to Syria and Iraq, as well as participating in armed conflicts in Syria and Iraq,” according to the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA).
Police officers from SIPA began operation, codenamed ”Damascus’ in 17 locations across Bosnian cities of Kiseljak, Zenica, Maglaj, Srebrenik, Zvornik and Teslic.
The operation was carried out by more than 200 police officers on the orders of the Court and the Prosecutor’s Office.
