Power disputes and corruption are holding the country back and damaging its EU hopes, said the chairman of the Bosnian presidency, Zeljko Komsic, in his end-of-year speech.
Komsic, the chairman of the Bosnia’s tripartite presidency, added that lessons should be learned from the mistakes made in 2013 so that the country has a chance to move forwards in terms of EU and NATO integration.
The stalemate on the road to the EU is a historic mistake for B&H said Komsic, reminding the politicians that history doesn’t give another chance and that a few years will need to pass before the constitutional issue is resolved.
He concluded that the country’s problem was creating a functional political life and dealing with systematic corruption.
