In the Republic of Srpska, 31 new cases of coronavirus have been registered, Republic of Srpska Minister of Health and Social Welfare Alen Šeranić said at a news conference in Banja Luka.
This has increased the total number of infected in Srpska to 90. A total of 64 cases were registered in Banja Luka, Čelinac three, Laktaši six, Srbac one, Prnjavor two, Ribnik one, Modriča and Kozarska Dubica two, Prijedor one, Bijeljina three, Gradiška and Derventa one each and Kneževo three.
In the last two days, a total of 118 samples were tested, five of which were from the Brčko District. A total of 19 persons are from Banja Luka, four from Laktaši, three from Kneževo, two from Bijeljina, one from Modriča, one from Prnjavor and one from Kozarska Dubica. These are 19 men and 12 women.
– We have three passengers who came from abroad, 12 people were in contact with the infected, and the rest is still being determined – said Šeranić.
Out of the total number of persons confirmed for the presence of the virus, three are in the University Clinical Center of Republic of Srpska, while the others are in home isolation and their health status is monitored.
Šeranić said that 118 samples were tested over the weekend, five of which were from the Brčko District.
He stated that 13,763 people are under medical supervision, recalling that a doctor from UCC Srpska is positive for the virus.
– We tested the UCC staff who have been in contact with him and all tests are negative – said Šeranić.
He recalled that all persons violating isolation measures would be quarantined.
– And it will no longer be slow because individuals behave irresponsibly. We expect that all fellow citizens will respect the prohibition measures. We must continue to avoid contacts and maintain a high level of hygiene – said the Minister of Health and Social Welfare.
Šeranić said 12 respirators were purchased, 11 of which were new.
