Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik and Goran Talic, the Director of the Institute of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation “Dr Miroslav Zotovic”, opened a new accommodation complex of the Institute with a therapeutic centre in Slatina near Laktasi, in which BAM 25.778.000 was invested.Dodik has pointed out that this is a significant opportunity to mark another great work victory of Republika Srpska and the people working in the centre for the benefit of those who will be treated here.
“The fact that Slatina has its place on the map of this type of services also speaks about the need to build more institutions of this kind here,” Dodik has said.
Talic has said that the employees in this centre actively and strongly follow the vision that the Institute be a leader on a professional, scientific and educational plan.
The opening ceremony was attended by Nedeljko Cubrilovic, the speaker of the Republika Srpska National Assembly, Prime Minister Zeljka Cvijanovic, Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska, Nenad Stevandic, the ministers in the of Republika Srpska Government and the Republika Srpska representatives in the BiH institutions.
The chair of the Council of Peoples of Republika Srpska, Nada Tesanovic, the Consul General of Serbia in Banjaluka, Vladimir Nikolic, Banjaluka Mayor Igor Radojicic, Laktasi Mayor Ranko Karapetrovic, mayors of other municipalities and representatives of public and cultural life, also attended the ceremony.
The Institute has invested BAM 25,778,000 of its own funds in the construction of this facility, and the facility has 80 , 16 apartments and 192 beds, a swimming pool, a wellness centre, a therapeutic block, a congress hall and a café-pastry shop.
In addition to the activities of the Institute – surgeries, rehabilitation and prosthetics, the construction of this complex will also enable the development of health tourism.
