The Prosecutor’s Office of BH has launched an investigation into the failure to implement the Sejdic-Finci decision made by the European Court of Human Rights.
The failure to implement this decision has led to the suspension of IPA funds in the amount of 45 million EUR, which has caused great harm to BH citizens and resentment among the international community, reads a press release from the Prosecutor’s Office.
A statement has been issued by the Special Department for Organized Crime, Economic Crime and Corruption ordering the launch of an investigation against an unknown perpetrator. Investigative activities are already underway.
“The failure to implement the decisions of the European Court of Human Rights causes immeasurable damage to the European integration process, preventing inflow of EU funds, as well as the realization of projects of pre-accession assistance”, reads the statement.
