BiH’s delegation to Moneyval participated in the 48th plenary session of the Committee of Experts on the Evaluation of Anti-Money Laundering Measures and the Financing of Terrorism of the Council of Europe (Moneyval), which was held from 14 to 18 September in Strasbourg.
According to information received from SIPA representatives, BiH’s head of delegation to Moneyval presented the 4th report on BiH on mutual assessment of measures to prevent money laundering and terrorism financing.
The report was adopted by the plenary session with positive comments and ratings for the country.
Keeping in mind the significant progress BiH has achieved in the past four months in the field of implementing measures to prevent money laundering and terrorism financing, the plenary session adopted a proposal to the Moneyval secretariat to remove the public announcement adopted 1 June 2014, in essence removing BiH from the Moneyval grey list, and placing it in the ranking of states with regular reporting procedures, SIPA reports.
