BiH’s membership in council of Europe important for Srpska

Prime Minister of the Republic of Srpska Radovan Viskovic met yesterday with Head of the Council of Europe Office in BiH, Drahoslav Štefanek in the Administrative Center of the Government in Banja Luka.

During the meeting, the interlocutors spoke about activities and projects implemented by the Council of Europe Office in BiH and the Republic of Srpska in the areas of human rights,  protection of national minorities as well as judiciary and the freedom of media.

Prime Minister of the Republic of Srpska Radovan Viskovic stressed the importance of BiH membership in the Council of Europe for the Republic of Srpska and reiterated the commitment of the Government and institutions of the Republic of Srpska for European integration in which regard cooperation with the Council of Europe was very significant.

Prime Minister Viskovic and Ambassador Štefanek expressed satisfaction with the current level of cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Srpska and the Council of Europe Office in BiH and expressed belief that this cooperation would be more intensive in the future at mutual benefit.

Prime Minister of the Republic of Srpska Radovan Viskovic and the Head of the Council of Europe Office in BiH, Drahoslav Štefanek also exchanged views on the current political and economic situation in the Republika Srpska and BiH during the meeting.
