In the ninth annual Failed States Index Bosnia and Herzegovina received a score of 76.5 and is in 83rd position out of 178. This score put Bosnia close to the stable category but not far from the warning zone.
The most stable country according to the Index is Finland, with Somalia being the most vulnerable.
The Failed States Index (FSI), produced by The Fund for Peace, is a critical tool in highlighting not only the normal pressures that all states experience, but also in identifying when those pressures are pushing a state towards the brink of failure. It is based on the twelve primary social, economic and political indicators, developed by The Fund for Peace.
