A bust of Peter II Petrovic Njegos was unveiled in downtown Banja Luka yesterday, a gift from the Serbian Orthodox Church (SPC) on the occasion of 800 years of SPC independence.
The bust was discovered in the courtyard of the Archive of Republika Srpska.
The bust is the work of one of the greatest Serbian sculptors, Sreten Stojanovic, and the pedestal was made by academician Milivoje Unkovic.
The head of the Temple of Christ the Savior, Dragan Maksimovic, emphasized that the size of one nation is measured by the richness of its history.
