The Central electoral Commission of Bosnia-Herzegovina has confirmed that Mladen Grujicic has been elected as Srebrenica’s new mayor.
Grujicic, who was a candidate of Serb parties, received 4,678 votes in the local elections held on October 2.
Srebrenica Mayor Camil Durakovic, who ran as an independent candidate, received 3,910 votes, the website klix.ba reported on Monday.
Parties and candidates can appeal against the final results once they have been published and request a recount.
Durakovic announced earlier that he planned to lodge complaints and appeals.
