Prime Minister of the Republic of Srpska Radovan Višković attended yesterday the ceremonial parade on the occasion of celebrating the Day of the Republic of Srpska that took place in East Novo Sarajevo.
2,500 members of the Ministry of the Interior (MUP) participated in the ceremonial parade and a 500-meter-long flag of the Republic of Srpska has been unfolded.
During the parade, the civilian sector was represented by 37 echelons and the Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Srpska was represented with the Flag Platoon, thirteen echelon units and six motorized echelons.
The “Vihor” tactical vehicle was shown for the first time.
The Republic of Srpska marks today the Day of the Republic and 31 years of its existence.
The Ninth of January is celebrated as the Day of the Republic of Srpska since on that date it had been declared originally under the name of the Serbian Republic of BiH.
