The Russian movie “The Servant”, starring Serbian actor Miloš Biković, is the most-watched comedy in the history of Russian cinema, the Central Partnership press service said.
The film, directed by Klim Shipenko, earned 1.8 billion rubles (about 26 million euros) for New Year’s holidays, Sputnik reports.
“The main comedy of the New Year’s holiday ‘The Servant’, which began showing in cinemas on December 26, earned 1.8 billion rubles by January 7. It is the highest-grossing comedy in Russian film history,” the statement said.
In just one day, the movie “Servant” grossed three million euros at the box office. In one night more than 750,000 people looked at him.
Biković interprets Grisha, a representative of Russia’s “golden youth,” who, after a car accident, returns to the past – but as a servant.
In addition to Miloš Biković, the film stars Maria Mironova, Ivan Ohlobistin, Alexandra Bortich, Vadim Demchi and Alexander Samojlenko.
