At the Business Forum in Vienna representatives of the government of Republika Srpska assured the Austrian administration that they are committed to aiding the development of cooperation between the Chambers of Commerce in Srpska and that of Austria, and to helping them in their individual business initiatives.
The Prime Minister of Srpska, Zeljka Cvijanovic, introduced the Austrian entrepreneurs to several Austrian investors in Republika Srpska and stated that Srpska is a great place to invest.
She added that there haven’t been increases in taxation in Republika Srpska, nor has the government introduced new specific crisis taxes which are present throughout the region.
Within the framework of this visit to Vienna, Cvijanovic met with the Vice President of Austria’s Chamber of Commerce, Richard Sencon, who said that Republika Srpska has a very advantageous geographic location, that it is educated and filled with other resources which significantly increase the possibility of further developing the economic cooperation.
Twenty-five companies from Republika Srpska took part in the Business Forum in Vienna, these companies belong to the construction industry, the metal industry, agriculture, food industry, and trade and service industries.
Within this Forum, bilateral meetings were held between the representatives of companies from Republika Srpska and partners from Vienna.
