The Chairman of the BiH Presidency, Milorad Dodik, and Presidency member Šefik Džaferović informed on Wednesday in Sarajevo Turkish Vice-President Fuat Oktay that BiH reached consensus on the route of the Sarajevo-Belgrade highway.

Dodik and Džaferović thanked Turkey for its readiness to help the construction of a road which will connect these two cities through the financing and interest of Turkish construction companies to get involved and do the job quickly, says a press release from the BiH Presidency.

BiH Presidency members reminded Oktay that BiH institutions immediately, after an attempted coup d’état in Turkey, expressed their full support to legitimate government institutions and regret over the loss of human lives.

Dodik and Džaferović thanked the Turkish Government for its decision to approve customs free import of 15,000 tons of meat and meat products from BiH, which is considered aid to BiH after the 2014 floods.

They concluded at the meeting that the remaining agreements should be ratified and implemented in the coming period.

Oktay stressed that Turkey wants to see a revised agreement on free trade between the two countries ratified, thanks to which trade between BiH and Turkey could soon reach the value greater than $ 1,000,000,000.

Adviser Slaven Kovačević attended the meeting on behalf of Presidency member Željko Komšić.
