The construction of the bridge on the Sava river near Gradiska will not begin until mid-2015, said the Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications of Srpska, Nedeljko Cubrilovic.
He added that Croatia turned a “deaf ear” on Srpska’s pleas for constructions to start and that they are still waiting on money promised by the EU.
Republika Srpska has secured the needed funds, said Cubrilovic, adding that everything is ready; all that is missing is good will on behalf of the Croatian’s.
The bridge on the Sava river near Gradiska will connect the Banjaluka-Gradiska highway in Republika Srpska with the Zagreb-Belgrade highway in Croatia.
The estimated cost of the bridge and access roads is 50 million EUR.
