Serb member of the BiH Presidency Milorad Dodik visited the Mining University /1773/ in Saint Petersburg, Russia’s oldest technical university and one of the oldest in Europe.
In a meeting with the University Rector Vladimir Stefanovich Litvinenko, it was agreed for the first working group from Russia to visit the University in Banjaluka as early as December 15 when agreements will be made in principle about cooperation between the two universities.
In February next year, a protocol of cooperation between the two universities is expected to be signed, which foresees, among other things, annual conferences, once in Banjaluka, and the next year in Saint Petersburg, for the purpose of improving the cooperation.
The protocol would allow students from Republika Srpska to enrol in the Saint Petersburg Mining University, in line with projects that Republika Srpska signs with Russian companies like Gazprom, Zarubezhneft, etc.
Students of technical faculties from the universities in Republika Srpska will have an opportunity to have practical training in Russia, working together and exchange of teaching staff will be made possible, and professors from Srpska will be provided help in doing scientific papers.
Dodik also met with students from Republika Srpska and Serbia studying at the Saint Petersburg Mining University /1773/.
