On the Krajina Square in Banja Luka, a Defile Ceremony was held on the occasion of the Republic of Srpska Day.
The defile was attended by a large number of citizens from all over the Republic of Srpska.
The ceremony was attended by the Republic of Srpska President Željka Cvijanović, Serb Member Milorad Dodik and Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabić.
The defile was also attended by National Assembly Speaker Nedeljko Čubrilović, Prime Minister Radovan Višković, BiH Council of Ministers Chairman Zoran Tegeltija, the chairman of the Council of the People of Srpska, Nada Tešanović, ministers in the Srpska and Serbian governments and the Council of Ministers.
The ceremonial defile consisted of the Flag Platoon, 12 unit echelons and six motorized echelons of the Republika Srpska MUP, whose 782 members gave their lives for Srpska.
The head of the echelons of units and motorized echelons of the Ministry of the Interior is the head of the defile Goran Amidžić, who is the chief of the Police Security Unit. The echelons also include members of the Special Anti-Terrorism Unit, the Gendarmerie, the Police Special Forces, and the cadets of the Police Academy.
The civilian sector consisted of 34 echelons, one of which was motorized. These echelons include representatives of students, veterans, war invalids, veterans, national minorities, athletes, firefighters.
The march, performed by composer Stanislav Binički, was performed by the Police Orchestra.
The Republic of Srpska was established on January 9, 1992, under the original name of the Republic of Srpska.
