Doboj received a modern video surveillance system, bringing greater security to the people of this town and making the police work easier. At 34 town locations, streets and intersections, 71 camera was deployed.
It allows recording of different sorts of offenses, incuding criminal ones, as well as tracking the offenders. This will mean a lot to the members of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in prevention of different offenses.
The locations of the cameras were determined by the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) and the town administration.
“We have 20 ANRP cameras that can recognize all license plates, and we also have 18 PTZ cameras that can be operated directly from the On-call Duty Centre, having the 360 degree rotation capability,” said Slobodan Radinković, the Chief of Doboj’s Police Station.
They are connected with the MIA system and draw data from the existing records. This will bring greater security to the people of Doboj.
“This is surely a great thing. Doboj has allocated 350,000 KM for this project, and the minister said that these servers are set up to be able to store data for up to 6 months,” said Boris Jerinić, the mayor of Doboj.
So far, the video surveillance system has been established in more than 35 municipalities in the Republic of Srpska, and Doboj is among the first to complete this work.
