The President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, noted that cooperation with St. Petersburg is excellent, and mentioned the possibility of further extension when it comes to the construction of power plants and healthcare sector. He also announced the arrival of the delegation of St. Petersburg in Banjaluka on the opening of the University Clinical Center of the RS on September 22.
After the meeting with the Governor of St. Petersburg Georgy Poltavchenko in Banjaluka, Dodik stated that they are looking for new ways of co-operation.
Governor Poltavchenko noted that he came to Banjaluka for the continuation of good cooperation and announced the signing of a memorandum on construction of the cascade hydroelectric power plant.
“It is good for friendly relations to be transformed into good political and economic relations,” said Poltavchenko.
President of the RS, Milorad Dodik, awarded the Governor of St. Petersburg Georgy Poltavchenko with the Order of Republika Srpska for extraordinary merits for developing and strengthening economic co-operation and political relations between Srpska and Russia.
The meeting was also attended by the Prime Minister of RS Zeljka Cvijanovic, as well as the Ambassador of Russia in BiH Petar Ivancov, the Head of the Representative Office of the RS in Moscow Dusko Perovic, and Mayor of Banja Luka Igor Radojicic.
