DODIK: WE DO NOT ACCEPT BiH OUTSIDE THE CONSTITUTION – INTERNATIONAL PUBLIC NOT TO PLAY WITH SRPSKA

The President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik has stated yesterday that Republika Srpska does not accept BiH outside the Constitution of BiH, and that the process being conducted in the Court of BiH due to non-compliance with the decisions of Christian Schmidt is a process against BiH, telling the international public not to play with Republika Srpska.

“We will not accept another BiH. You can talk about secession, whatever you want. I think this is a legitimate and legalistic approach we are advocating for. Nothing outside the Constitution is acceptable until it is agreed upon within the framework of the two entities as intended the Dayton Accords,” said Dodik and added that he does not impose anything on anyone.

Dodik stated that the most important thing is that it is a political process, which the judge himself said when he read that “the trial against Milorad Dodik is being conducted due to non-compliance with the decisions of the high representative”.

“In order for someone to be a high representative, he must be appointed by the signatory countries of the Dayton Accords and must be confirmed by the UN Security Council, and there is no such thing. The fact that he made the decision to change the law and that prosecutors and judges accept it here speaks of their expertise and professionalism and the relationship towards Bosnia and Herzegovina,” Dodik told reporters after the hearing in the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Dodik pointed out that the enormous dependence on the high representative and foreign embassies does not bring anything good to BiH or to anyone.

“Every day, the staff of the American Embassy visits the Prosecutor’s Office and the courts and deals with cases and makes suggestions. We have evidence to prove it. We know the exact time when they enter and when they leave the Embassy. We have documented statements of people, but everything will come in due time, first things first,” said Dodik.

He said that he will come when the next hearing is scheduled, and that there is nothing controversial about that.

Dodik told the international public not to play with Republika Srpska.

“Republika Srpska does not accept Schmidt. He is not a high representative. It does not accept the inappropriate jerk behavior of the American ambassador /Michael/ Murphy, who is trying to go savage with his personal frustrations here,” emphasized Dodik.

He added that BiH can only remain on the Constitution, stating that it cannot survive when there is a man who changes the law by decision.

“Give the Constitution, remove Schmidt, Murphy and the others and we can come to an agreement here,” stressed Dodik.

Answering the question about the possible transfer of the proceedings to Banja Luka, Dodik said that the trial, if it happens, will be fair, professional and without any influence from the street.

The President of Republika Srpska reiterated that the process being conducted against him is political, and that his defense is exercising its legal right to have the trial moved to Banja Luka.

“We asked for it, the court panel said that it rejects our request and said that we have three days to file an appeal. We received that decision today, the three days expire on Monday, and we will appeal exactly on Monday at the end of the working day time”, said Dodik.

Answering a journalist’s question whether his defense is trying to delay the process, Dodik said that everyone can interpret it as they want.

“Interpret as you wish. What do you want, to hurry up? To see the verdict banning me from political work? I would not recommend such a thing to you from the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Regardless of what you think these people are doing, these are the people who decide in Republika Srpska,” said Dodik.

Speaking about the great support given to him and the acting director of the “Official Gazette” Miloš Lukić at today’s hearing by about 550 people who were in the courtroom of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina and in front of the complex of judicial institutions in Sarajevo, Dodik stated that he was impressed by this and that Republika Srpska is homogenized on this issue.

“People have to understand that. Bosnia and Herzegovina has been thrown to the ground here,” concluded Dodik.
