There should be no new or different requirements for B&H other than those which apply to all other states, said Doris Pack, European Parliament’s Rapporteur on Bosnia and Herzegovina.
She disagreed with Vesna Pusic, the Croatian Foreign Minister, who proposed for a new EU approach to B&H.
Pack noted that every country faces difficulties on the road to the EU. She explained that the B&H constitution has created problems, especially in terms of the non-implementation of the ruling of the European Court of Human Rights in the Sejdic-Finci case, and that B&H should not be awarded special candidate status because of that.
Pack added that the key to the solution is the equality of all three constituent peoples.
