During the joint debate at the European Parliament, the EU Commissioner for Enlargement and Neighborhood Policy, Stefan Fule, said that the debate on B&H looks the same each year and that progress has once again been very limited.
Fule added that the implementation of the Sejdic-Finci ruling would finally allow for the Stabilization and Association Agreement to come into force. It is also one of the preconditions for the submission of a credible membership application.
2014 will be an important year for B&H and the EU will make sure that the general elections live up to European standards, said Fule adding that the door to the EU is still open, but that B&H will have to walk through it on its own accord.
