A society of Srpska intellectuals “Prosvjeta”, first formed in 1901, will mark the anniversary of the First World War through a series of cultural events, announced the Vice President of the society Mihajlo Vujovic.
On the occasion of this anniversary, several lectures, theater performances and exhibitions will be organized. Furthermore, trips to neighboring municipalities are planned, specifically to primary and high schools, in order to show that Serb’s didn’t start the World War, said Vujovic.
“Prosvjeta” was first founded by 29 Serbian intellectuals in 1901 in order to aid the education of pupils and students. It renewed its existence last year and aims to preserve the identity of its people.
