The state budget will be adopted on the 23rd of December, said the President of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska, Igor Radojcic. If B&H doesn’t adopt the budget, the IMF could withhold its funds for 2013 and 2014.
B&H has already overstepped the deadline set by the IMF, according to which the budget was to be adopted by the 9th of December. This has put B&H in an uncomfortable position. Namely, during its next session, which could take place in January, the IMF should approve the final installment for 2013.
Radojcic explained that the absence of this installment jeopardizes the targeted budget revenues for 2013.
Commenting on the fact that Republika Srpska has to return 500 million KM in dept next year, Radojicic said that it’s repayment is planned in the budget, adding that Srpska has to date properly settled its debts.
