The budget for 2015 should include an item for film production which would enable filmmakers to compete for foreign funds, said the Minister of Education and Culture of Republika Srpska, Goran Mutabdzija, after talks with the representatives of the Association of Filmmakers of Srpska.
During the meeting they discussed amendments to the Law on Cinema, which would strengthen the film fund, as well as the option for the Association to operate in one of the ministries institutions, explained Mutabdzija.
Representatives of the Association of Filmmakers briefed the Minister on their recommendations for amendments to the film legislation. Their long-term goal is the establishment of a permanent film fund.
