Ministry of Health and Social Protection of Republika Srpska has delivered the tender documents for the project of reconstruction and equipping of the central medical block of the Clinical Center Banjaluka to five companies: Vamed from Austria, Metrostav A.S from the Czech Republic, JV OHL ŽS & OH from the Czech Republic and Spain, JV CMB & UNIECO from Italy and Serbia and Bouygues Batiment International from France, announced the ministry.

These are companies that passed the pre-qualification process, which means that they have fulfilled all the criteria specified in the call, or have the capacity and can meet all the requirements of one of the most complex projects in the health sector.

Due to the volume of the tender documents the companies will be allowed a period of 12 weeks to submit their technical and financial offers. The deadline for submission of bids is 7 May 2014, when they will be opened, after which the team for the implementation of the projects, appointed by the Government of Srpska, will inspect them and carry out a selection of the best bidder.

The European Investment Bank (EIB), from whose funds the project is funded, gave consent to the tender documents. The estimated value of the project is about 63 million euros in net terms. This amount will be increased by the cost that the companies will have in the implementation of the project, as well as VAT.

The project foresees rehabilitation, reconstruction and reorganization of the central medical block, construction of a new north wing, as well as procurement of equipment (a total of about 58.751 m2).
