Fortress Kastel illuminated with Pink Colour

By symbolic illumination of some of the most beautiful buildings in Bosnia and Herzegovina in pink, the “October – Breast Cancer Month” has officially started.

The Breast Cancer Associations of the “Think Pink Network – Together We are One” have joined many European cities and drew attention to the importance of early detection of the disease.

In the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the National Museum of Bosnia and Herzegovina was highlighted with pink colour.

Fortress Kastel in Banja Luka, the Old Bridge in Mostar, the Town Hall in Bosanska Gradišska, the Old Town Ostrozac Cazin, the Gradacac Tower, the pedestrian bridge in Gorazde, the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Siroki Brijeg, the Mosque of the King Sutjeska in Kakanj, tower Stari Grad in Velika Kladuša, high school in Livno, Arena in Zenica, hotel Tuzla in Tuzla, secondary school Bugojno and high school building in Kiseljak.

Breast Cancer Awareness Month (BCAM), also referred to in America as National Breast Cancer Awareness Month (NBCAM), is an annual international health campaign organized by major breast cancer charities every October to increase awareness of the disease and to raise funds for research into its cause, prevention, diagnosis, treatment and cure. The campaign also offers information and support to those affected by breast cancer.

Breast cancer awareness month is a yearly campaign that intend educate people about the importance of early screening, test and more. This campaign starts on October 1 and ends on October 31 every year.
