The President of the Republic stated that Srpska is committed to constantly invest in the security of the citizens and their property, and that is why it strengthens its security capacities. The President Cvijanović stressed that the establishment of the Gendarmerie Unit of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Srpska represents a contribution to the stability and security of Srpska.
“Whatever initiative you take in Srpska, you always come across convictions, criticisms, noise and hysteria coming from Sarajevo. We do not need to pay attention to this. Our police and the Ministry of the Interior are and should be able to cooperate with everyone within BiH, in the region, and more broadly, to contribute to the stability of not only our citizens, but also to addressing regional security issues”, said the President of Srpska.
According to the President Cvijanović, police members of Srpska have participated in numerous international actions and have always received approvals for their work and contributions.
“This will be continued in the future as well. It is important to our citizens to have a strong and equipped police force and that is why the Government has invested a considerable amount of money in equipment, training centres such as the one we are in today, salary increases and other issues, and we will continue to do so. There has always been a connection between our people and the police and hence comes support to constantly improve our capacities”, it was emphasized by the President of the Republic of Srpska.
