Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH Mirko Sarovic attends the Global Tourism Economy Forum (GTEF), which is taking place in Macau, China, on October 16 and 17.
This event represents a great chance for the public and private sector from all over the world to promote its tourist offer and also to develop opportunities for mutual cooperation and investments.
Participation at the GTEF forum has great importance for attracting tourists since China has become the largest source of tourists in the past few years and it gives the largest contribution to global tourism revenues. By giving an active contribution to this significant event, Minister Sarovic talked about the importance of a public-private partnership in the field of strengthening the economy, especially in the sector of tourism, and on the need for stronger support of the state to the private sector.
Both Chinese and other visitors from the region showed a great interest in the tourist offer that was presented by the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH with the help of the Foreign Trade Chamber of BiH and the competent entity ministries at the common stand of 16 Central and Eastern European countries.
The Global Tourism and Economic Forum is the leading international platform for the promotion of the sustainable development of the international tourism industry, where the main focus of the event is placed on China and the Chinese tourism market, as announced by the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations of BiH.
