In October, 8,112 tourists visited Banja Luka and 12,460 overnight stays, said in the City Tourist Organization.

Expert at the Tourist Organization Mladen Sukalo said that at the end of the year about 90,000 arrivals are expected, and that the number of overnight stays exceeds 130,000, and that it sees a chance in introducing new airline lines from the Banja Luka airport.

Sukalo noted that Banja Luka currently has about 1,900 beds, but that number grows every year.

He believes that the accommodation capacities will not be enough to receive all the guests who decide to spend New Year’s holidays in Banja Luka, where, as he recalled, the New Year’s celebration lasts for three days, while Haris Dzinovic, Zeljko Joksimovic, Zeljko Samardzic and Nikola Rokvic will perform.

According to tourist statistics, the largest number of tourists in Banja Luka come from Slovenia, Serbia and Croatia.

Tourists who decide the New Year holidays spend in Banja Luka will be able to visit attractive tourist facilities in Park “Mladen Stojanović” – “Zimzograd”,  in front of the Museum of Contemporary Art of the Republic of Srpska and in the park near the National Theater of the Republic of Srpska, and a convenient New Year sale at Krajina square.

Plato in front of the Museum of Contemporary Art has been turned into a “Fairy Tales” for children in the last night, and a park near the National Theater of Republika Srpska will offer 30 days of entertainment.
