The third Scientific Conference titled “Jahorina Business Days of Entrepreneurship, Gastronomy and Tourism 2014” was opened today in Jahorina by the Minister of Science and Technology of Republika Srpska, Jasmin Komic. The main theme of this year’s conference is “Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Tourism”.
During the opening ceremony Komic emphasized that innovation, as the key entrepreneurial skill, is the guiding principle of this conference. He stressed that Srpska should look up to the EU and its projects aimed at creating new jobs and focusing on innovative spirit and creativity.
Komic pointed out that Srpska pays specific attention to innovative activities and scientific research, which are contained in the Strategy of Scientific and Technological Development of Srpska.
Participants of this eminent international scientific symposium will discuss a range of topics including economic growth and development, regional and rural development, cross-border cooperation, alternative forms of competitiveness, innovation, the labor market and human capital, natural environment, taxes, transportation, sport and health, safety, quality, and other topics of interest.
During the previous two years the conference in Jahorina brought together over 400 scientists and experts from the region and Europe. More than 200 scientific papers from the conference have been published in two collections.
