Joint session of the governments of Srpska and Serbia held in Banja Luka

The 5th joint session of the governments of Republika Srpska and Serbia was held in Banja Luka, indicating positive development and good relations between the two governments. During this session all issues concerning economic cooperation, entry to the third market and projects in the energy sector were discussed.

Prime Minister Ivica Dacic and Srpska’s Prime Minister Zeljka Cvijanovic signed a Memorandum of understanding between Serbia and RS on business and technical cooperation.

Voicing satisfaction about the holding of the joint sitting, Serbia’s First Deputy Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic said that, for citizens of Srpska and Serbia, the strengthening of economic relations is of high importance as it will create new jobs. He noted that there is a market for agricultural produce and the efforts will be invested in that in the coming period.

During the meeting, the officials summed up the things that have been done so far,and noted that a high level of cooperation has been achieved. Government representatives also announced further cooperation in the fight against crime and corruption which will be evident in the near future.

The cooperation between Republika Srpska and Serbia is conducted in line with the Dayton Accords, to the benefit of the peoples of Republika Srpska and Serbia, underlined the President of Srpska Milorad Dodik.
