The President of the Republic of Srpska Milorad Dodik attended the memorial academy last night on the occasion of the International Holocaust Remembrance Day.

The President of the Republic of Srpska said that the Serbs and Jews are brotherly people in suffering, and emphasized the importance of commemorating in order to prevent a revision of history.

The President Dodik expressed his satisfaction that the Day of Remembrance of the Holocaust victims takes on an increasing scope every year, bearing in mind that many retrograde parties that were on the crime side are trying to impose some other values today.

“Therefore, it is important to gather at the Jewish Centre in Banja Luka and evoke memories of the terrible crimes that marked civilization and the mass suffering of the Jews”, said the President of Srpska.

The President of the Republic of Srpska pointed out that the Holocaust was a suffering that has not been recorded in history, and reminded that, according to the same matrix, the Serbs in the territory of the former Yugoslavia, but also in wider areas, suffered only because they belong to one nation, similar to what happened with the Jewish people.

The President of the Republic emphasized that those who committed or were on the side of that crime of the Holocaust or their descendants are today trying to write some other history about it or some of their similar aspirations from the past in a way that suits them.
