More than 700 citizens registered for the use of city bicycle rental services “BL bike” after two months since the city got this system.
Currently, 715 users are registered in the system, and the service recorded 3,300 leasing in the first two months, with a tendency of growth.
Slaviša Sandić, head of the Department of Transportation and Roads, says that the majority of users uses this service on working days, which was the main intention of introducing this service – that as many citizens go to work as a bicycle.
“In this way we want to encourage fellow citizens to physical activity, but also to improve the city’s tourist offer,” Sandic said.
Terminals and the system for renting and parking bicycles are located in the center across the building of the City Administration, at “Aquana”, at the Student Center “Nikola Tesla” and in the park “Mladen Stojanović”.
