Mount Ozren is located in the northern part of Bosnia and Herzegovina in a lower mountain range, between Bosna River to the west and Sperča River to the north. Mount Ozren stretches southeast along wonderful Krivaja River in the south and connects with woody Mount Konjuh, while Ozren slopes descend to the east to Modrač Lake.
This area is characterized with spacious glades, rich pastures, thermal water springs, clear mountain creeks and numerous streams snaking through pine and oak forests. The climate is temperate continental, with hot summers and harsh winters.
Mountaineering and ecological society “Preslica” was founded on the 14th February 2009 with the aim of maintaining the tradition of mountaineering on the territory of Doboj, as well as to actively participate in the preservation of nature. It is named after the peak of Preslica, 341 meters high, located in the immediate vicinity of Doboj. The Society now has 60 permanent members who follow the actions of the Mountaineering Association of the Republic of Srpska.
The Doboj Cycling Club started its development and popularisation of this sport in 2010, as part of the section of Mountaineering and ecological society “Preslica”. The rides are usually organized on weekends, the gathering is in the city’s main park. The group is accompanied by a club guide who chooses the pace and track, according to the average rider readiness in the group.
You can experience flying as well. You do not need to have any knowledge to experience tandem flight. All you need is to bring solid footwear and your day can be unforgettable. The flight time depends on the weather conditions and your desire to fly.
You can combine your favorite activities like cycling, walking through a forest, swimming in the lake, photo-safari or painting Ozren landscapes, or something completely different – like flying!
