Yesterday, the Government of Republika Srpska has approved the decision to designate the medieval necropolis of tombstones “Radovac” in the village of Potkom near Berkovići as an immovable cultural property of great significance.
The “Radovac” necropolis has 244 tombstones dating from the 14th and the first half of the 15th century, and according to the numbers, it belongs to the group of so-called large necropolises.
The decision allows only research and conservation-restoration works, ongoing maintenance works, including those aimed at the presentation of cultural attraction, the Bureau of Public Relations of the Government of Srpska announced.
The space of the monument can be used for cultural and educational purposes and will be open and available to the public.
