On 22 of October 2019 Sixth Committee of the General Assembly discussed about a theme: Consideration of Prevention of Transboundary harm from Hazardous activities and allocation of loss in the case of such harm.

On behalf of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Marinko Avramovic, Counsellor at the Permanent Mission of Bosnia and Herzegovina gave a speech, talking about possible negative impacts of the intention of the Republic of Croatia to build a storage for the disposal of nuclear waste from Nuclear Power Plant Krsko very close to the border between the Republic of Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

In this regard, Mr. Avramovic mentioned that the building of the facility on that location would endangered a secure life of the people living nearby. Also, the building of the storage for nuclear waste would be violation of the UN General Assembly Resolution 62/68 adopted on 06 December 2007.
