The Steering Board of the Peace Implementation Council in Bosnia and Herzegovina PIC, will begin a two-day session in Sarajevo. The lack of progress in addressing the priorities of the “five plus two” program will be discussed.
During this session the Steering Board, will review other key issues in BH, such as the need for BH to create a long-term strategy in the field of education.
Also on the agenda will be the continuing challenges to the Dayton Peace Agreement, stated the OHR, adding that the High Representative in BH Valentin Incko, will address the developments in the process of peace implementation and highlight the key areas that need to be worked on.
“Incko will express concern about the denial of the rule of law in BiH, including non-compliance with the decision of the Constitutional Court, the lack of progress in resolving the issue of state and military property, as well as the adoption of the necessary amendments to the Election Law which will allow for general elections in October of 2014″, announced the OHR.
