The President of the Republic of Srpska Željka Cvijanović yesterday hosted children from the Public Institution for Preschool Education in Banja Luka on the occasion of the International Children’s Week.
“I am happy that the childern are here today. This is the best indicator that institutions are open to our youngest generations”, said the President Cvijanović.
The President of the Republic of Srpska pointed out that the children showed that they knew what the characteristics of the state were, what their rights and obligations were, but also what the President of the Republic and other institutions were dealing with.
“We designed this as a way to talk about children’s rights, but also to get children acquainted with the Republic of Srpska institutions and to understand that they are open to citizens. The best example of this is that the Palace of the Republic is today open for kindergarten children”, said the President Cvijanović.
The President of the Republic said that the Palace of the Republic will be open to other groups in the coming period because she wants them to understand the society in which they live, from a toddler through the collective in the kindergarten, then at school, and later in the workplace to grow and understand their rights and obligations and to know that the institutions are there to do their job, protect their rights and create a better environment overall.
The President Cvijanović expressed her satisfaction since at the beginning of the International Children’s Week she has had an opportunity to host children from 13 kindergartens from Banja Luka and presented them with gifts.
