Prime Minister of Republic of Srpska Radovan Višković meets with the Ambassador of Israel

Prime Minister of Republic of Srpska Radovan Višković met in Banja Luka today with the non-resident Ambassador of Israel to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Galit Peleg.

In an open and constructive conversation, it was stated that Republic of Srpska and the State of Israel were connected by unbreakable friendship, mutual respect and understanding and emphasized that in the coming period additional efforts would be made to improve cooperation in the areas of economy and information technologies.

During the meeting, the interlocuprs expressed mutual understanding of the situation and the position of Israel and Republic of Srpska.

Prime Minister Višković stated that experiences of Israel in numerous areas could be valuable for Republic of Srpska so that possible cooperation in development of several joint projects has been underlined.

Furthermore, it has been emphasized that there was strong cultural cooperation between the Republic of Srpska and Israel with a special role played by the Jewish Cultural Center “Arie Livne” in Banja Luka.

It has been stated during the meeting that the Serbian and the Jewish people were connected by the history of common suffering during the Second World War and that it was necessary to make constant efforts in cherishing the culture of remembrance and educating new generations about the enormous sacrifice made by both peoples.
