Prime Minister of Republika Srpska meets with the Ambassador of France to BiH

Prime Minister of the Republic of Srpska Radovan Viskovic spoke yesterday (13 May 2019) with the French Ambassador to BiH, H.E. Guillaume Rousson.

Prime Minister Viskovic and Ambassador Rousson talked about current political and economic issues placing the emphasis on the reforms and projects intended to contribute to better standard of living of citizens.

The Prime Minister said that the Government and the institutions of the Republic of Srpska were committed to European integration process having emphasized that the Republic of Srpskaw was the leader in fulfilling obligations on the European path with full respect for the constitutional position of the Republic of Srpska and the constitutional establishment of BiH.

Prime Minister Viskovic further said that only functional BiH which the Republic of Srpska  supports can provide a better life for all citizens while Republic of Srpska will continue to  fulfill obligations and conditions related to the European integrations.

The Prime Minister expressed his regret over the standstill in formation of the government at the level of BiH especially in view of the fact that it impedes implementation of the reform processes and projects in many areas.

The French Ambassador announced the activities of the French development agency in BiH which would contribute to strengthening of economic relations between France and the Republic of Srpska and BiH.

It has been noted during the meeting that France played a significant role in creating relations in BiH and that the assistance it has been providing through funds and organizations was very significant.

The interlocutors agreed that the cooperation between Republic of Srpska and France so far has been good and stated their readiness to improve it in the future, especially in the areas of economy, security, education and culture.
